Caribbean

The Caribbean islands stretch from the southern tip of Florida to the north coast of Venezuela. The Greater Antilles, the largest of the Caribbean Islands, lie to the northwest. The Lesser Antilles curve southeast and border the Caribbean Sea on their west coasts and the Atlantic Ocean on their east coasts.

The main reason to travel to the Caribbean is the beautiful blue water and white, powdery sand. The beaches of the Caribbean are perfect for hand-in-hand strolls or just enjoying the view from the balcony of your room.

There are many options to consider when choosing the Caribbean for your honeymoon. If your ideal honeymoon is a secluded beach, tropical terrain or rainforest, or golfer’s paradise, you’ll find it all in the Caribbean. You’ll have the choice to be as active as you like, or just kick back and relax at your resort.

The Caribbean has a number of islands that have beautiful all-inclusive resorts. These allow you to pay in advance for your room, all food and beverages, non-motorized water sports, taxes and gratuities. This is the ultimate in peace of mind for the couple that just wants to relax and hang out at the resort.

Several of the islands are great values when it comes to traveling from the States. This is especially true if departing from the East Coast or Midwest. More and more tour companies are charting planes for direct flights to the Caribbean. These allow you to arrive at your destination quickly, have more time to enjoy your honeymoon and are very economical.

Don’t let hurricane season discourage you either. There are islands that are safe bets during hurricane season. They include Aruba, Barbados, Bonaire, Curacao, Tobago and Trinidad.

Cruising can also be a good way to experience a variety of Caribbean Islands. This will give you a brief taste of what each location offers and you can always go back for a longer stay to any of the islands you enjoyed!
